{Media Invite and The Illusionists Review}
Be prepared to be blown away by the dazzling spectacular show from the world’s best-selling touring magic show, The Illusionists – Live from Broadway! The Illusionists will be showing at The Mastercard Theatres, Marina Bay Sand from Friday, 6 May to Sunday, 15 May 2016.
The Illusionists, featuring seven talented and famous magicians in the show, they are The Master Magician, Luis De Matos, The Clairvoyants, Thommy Ten and Amelie van Tass, The Eccentric, Charlie Frye and his wife Sherry, The Manipulator, Hyun Joon Kim, The Enigma, Sam Powers, The Alchemist, Leonardo Bruno and The Escapologist, Krendl. Each of these magicians is a master in his/her own field and audience can look forward to enjoy a wide variety of different types of magic and illusions.
The Master Magician, Luis De Matos is regarded as the most respected and distinguished multi-award winning magician of all time from Portugal. He is also the host for the entire show. We are impressed with his spectacular illusions including making 250 fishes appeared in a fish tank in a split second. Luis De Matos kept the audience entertained with his spectacular illusions and humour throughout the show.
The Eccentric, the silent husband and wife duet performed by Charlie Frye and Sherry will delight audience with their unique blend of silent comedy which include Charlie attempting to perform various types of juggling that are perfectly synchronized with the music while his wife ignored him as she is more concerned with filing her nails and doing her makeup. Charlie Frye is often compared to the likes of classic comedians such as Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, Stan Laurel and Dick Van Dyke. The audience laughed to see Charlie “struggling” to do various types of performances perfectly with very little support from his wife.
The Enigma, Sam Powers at 18 years old had earned the coveted title of Australian “Magician of the Year’. He will keep the audience entertained and on the edge of their seats with his amazing illusions of vanishing tricks including making a train appeared on stage out of nowhere! We are totally stunned and amazed with his illusions.
This is a visually compelling and entertaining show with plenty of magic, illusions that are full of suspense that will keep you wondering, how did they do it? Look out for other acts like mind reading, card tricks, appearing and disappearing acts, water torture escape and many more.
The show also featured well choreographed dancing with the latest 3D technology for greater visual effect. There are plenty of interaction with the audience by the Illusionists. The audience are also invited to perform tricks with them.
The Illusionists is a spectacular, mind-boggling, non-stop entertaining thrilling show featuring 7 of the talented and hand pick magicians that is suitable for all ages from children to adults.
