The First Hippo On The Moon is about Sheila the Hippo who wants to be the first Hippo on the Moon! Even though she does not have the means and resources as compared to her rival, another hippo called Hercules who also want to be the first hippo to be on the moon, Sheila has her friends in the jungle to help her. Together they built a wooden rocket and using poo … yes, poo to power the rocket! This is a simple story and yet highly entertaining that fills with lots of songs, dances and clever funny lines that will make you laugh! 

The talented cast of First Hippo On The Moon consists of five actor-puppeteers, bringing the animals of the jungle to life with their dramatic voice-over and life-like actions of each of the animals they represent like Giraffe, Ostrich, Gorilla and porcupines. 

The star of the story is Sheila the Hippo acted by Alice Bounce. She was dressed in a blubbery grey fat suit, she sings and dances so brilliantly and effortlessly in the suit throughout the show. Sheila is so adorable and the audience love her!

The first Hippo on the Moon is about an hour, it is an interesting and enjoyable show where the young ones can embark on an explosively funny adventure! Bring your kids to watch this charming story of The first Hippo on the Moon now performing at SOTA Drama Theatre till Sunday, 24 September 2017!
