The grand Summer Palace
One of the highlights of Summer Palace, the marble boat.
One of the tour member asked the guide where is the place to try Imperial Cuisine. The guide recommended us the restaurant above which is located inside the Summer Palace.
This is another highlight of the Summer Palace, the long corridor. It is a covered walkway in which it was first erected in the middle of the 18th century, it is famous for its length (728 m) in conjunction with its rich painted decoration (more than 14,000 paintings). It is the longest corridor in the world.
Our guide was pressed for time so we didn’t get to walk the long corridor but took a boat ride to and fro.
After we left the Summer Palace, we went back to our hotel to pack our bag. What a day! It was tiring but meaningful, we get to visit so many places and learn more about our Chinese history and culture.
