Our Parenting World, Gor Gor and Di Di embark on our mission to introduce good food in Singapore. This time, we are at Singapore’s favorite family restaurant, Swensen’s!
We have been to ION Orchard numerous times and we normally dine at the restaurants at Basement 4, we did not realise there is a Swensen’s Restaurant at Basement 1, and it is a huge restaurant. The ambience is nice and cozy, suitable for family dining and gathering with friends.
In fact, this is the only Swensen’s Restaurant that offers a “Ice-Cream and Dessert Buffet”. If you are a fan of Swensen’s ice-creams, this will be the place that you should visit.
There are more than 50 flavours for ice-creams and 40 exciting toppings. Gor Gor and Di Di are very excited when they saw the extensive spread of ice-creams at the buffet bar.

The Boston Lobster Roll ($21.80)
We were told that the Boston Lobster Roll is generously made of one whole lobster’s meat about 70 to 80 gram served together in one soft and fluffy buttery bun. The lobster meat is imported all the way from Boston and dressed with a touch of honey lime.
Upon the first bite, we can feel the freshness of the succulent lobster meat and it’s chewy texture. To complete the meal, the lobster roll is served with a small serving of mesclun salad and together with Swensen’s signature U.S. fries.

Slipper Lobster Roll ($16.80)
This lobster roll is unique as it features the chef’s special homemade creamy tangy mustard dressing piled generously on the lobster meat. The meat is actually made from more than one slipper lobster.
We find the lobster meat to be sweet and juicy. The soft buttery grilled bun layered with fresh and crunchy lettuce is well matched with the sweet lobster meat. This lobster roll is also served with a small serving of mesclun salad and together with Swensen’s signature U.S. fries.
