POPULAR’s BookFest@Singapore will be making its long-awaited return on 9-18 December 2022. Occupying a whopping 130,000 square foot of retail space, the event – to be held at Suntec Convention Halls 401-406 from 10am to 10pm daily – will offer spectacular offers on books, stationery, tech gadgets, and much more! BookFest veterans will also be pleasantly surprised to see the return of our signature Daily Specials, Lucky Draws, and family-friendly fringe activities.
The event is making a comeback after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. And to celebrate the return of BookFest, the theme of the event this year is “Reunite & Excite 阅•欢腾”.

With more than 500,000 visitors expected over the 10-day event, organisers are making sure the event is safe for everyone. Hand sanitisers will be placed at cashier points, entrances, and around the halls. High-touch points such as shopping baskets and self-checkout counters will also be regularly disinfected. While it is not mandatory, shoppers are still encouraged to wear their masks.
Whimsical Christmas Market featuring local crafters
To embrace the year-end festive spirit, BookFest is introducing the Whimsical Christmas Market — with quality offerings on toys, stationery, lifestyle products, and more. Featuring 25 participating local crafters from Etsy Craftivist SG, shoppers will find unique, locally-made crafts, gifts, and goods. Craft workshops are available for sign-ups throughout BookFest, including Batik Painting, Felted Soap Making, and Felt Flower Bookmark crafts.
The Jolly Kids Party will round up the event on Sunday, 18 December from 10am to 12pm at Hall 401. Soak in the carnival atmosphere with magic shows, balloon sculpting, free party favours, fun games, and prizes. There will also be a Santa Claus Meet & Greet session, so be sure to get your wish lists ready!

Get a chance to meet and take pictures with popular comic book characters Candy Meow and Dog Man at our Character Meet & Greets. Don’t miss the chance to meet local authors such as Lee Bee Wah (Plantation to Parliament: My Story So Far) and Emily Lim-Leh (Marky Polo Travels) at the Author Meet & Greets, where live book-sharing and autograph sessions will be conducted. Join LOVE 972FM DJs Wallace Ang 洪圣安 and Violet Fenying 陈粉樱 as well as YES 933FM DJs Jiahui 萧嘉蕙 and Qi Jia 陈启 佳 live on stage, with a line-up of games and activities.
