The Singapore Night Festival — Singapore’s largest nocturnal experience — returns to the Bras Basah.Bugis precinct for its 15th edition this year. Happening for three weekends for the first time from 23 August to 7 September, this year’s festival is themed the Art of Play. This exploration of the concept of play and childhood is inspired by the historical significance of the precinct as the birthplace of some of Singapore’s first schools.
Discover the unique stories and traditions of the precinct through the festival’s signature projection mapping artworks, night light installations by local and regional artists, alongside a series of exciting programmes, food and retail experiences across numerous Festival Villages, and performances including jazz performances and a xinyao singalong — another festival first!
Take a step back in time with this year’s Highlight Act titled, Wonder World, and bask in the old-school and retro vibes of Singapore from the 1950s to 1970s. Conceptualised by local artist SKL0, this seemingly whimsical amusement park experience ponders on and touches upon our modern idea of nostalgia and heritage. Look forward to being immersed in this world of amusement park rides, old school games stalls, nostalgia-themed food and beverages, performances and more!
With the Singapore Night Festival 2024 running over three weekends, join us and play on as we celebrate Singapore’s arts and culture!
