POPULAR will be celebrating World Kids Colouring Day with STAEDTLER at the Titbits and Stationery Carnival this year by holding a colouring contest for children. The colouring contest is an open category for pre-schoolers and 8 lucky participants will stand a chance to win over $800 worth of prizes and medals. Those interested may purchase any of the selected World Kids Colouring Day item at POPULAR Bookstore and present the registration form with the receipt on the contest date, 2 July.
Other fun and enriching workshops, from ice-cream to eco rubber clay making, will also be available at the carnival. A local ice cream academy, Ice Cream Skool will be conducting two exclusive ice-cream making workshops on 26 June and every participant will enjoy a complimentary scoop of ice-cream at the end of each session.

Meet and greet Canadian-born author, Andrew Hou who uses visuals to express his emotions and feelings. His story started out as a personal blog for his Korean wife which slowly caught the attention of the public. Andrew will be having a meet-and-greet author book-signing session for HJ-Story Volume 1 and 2. HJ-Story Volume 2 will launch during the author book-signing session. |

Ice-Cream Making Workshop |

Children learn best through interaction and hands-on activities. POPULAR partners Ice Cream Skool to conduct two ice-cream making workshops for children aged 5 – 12 years old. The children will be put into groups and taught by a certified instructor on how to make ice-cream from scratch. Registration starts on 17 June. Registration is free and is on a first-come-first-serve basis. |

World Kids Colouring Day Competition |

In celebration with World Kids Colouring Day, POPULAR will be collaborating with STAEDTLER Singapore to organise a colouring contest at the carnival. The purpose is to encourage creativity in young children. The contest is open to all pre-schoolers, below 7 years old. Registrations are processed at any POPULAR store with purchase of any selected World Kids Colouring Day product. 10% from the World Kids Colouring Day product sale will be donated to The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund. The top three winners will stand to win Cash Vouchers, POPULAR Gift Vouchers and attractive hampers. There will also be five consolation hampers and medals to be given away. To register, contestants will have to present the completed registration form with receipt on 2nd July 2016 to participate. Eco Rubber Clay Workshop |

Participants will learn simple techniques on creating marine life using rubber clay. There will be two sessions, 1st session is for 4-7 years old and the second session, 7 – 12 years old. Registration is $5 and payment to be made on-site. |

Extraordinary Losers TV Show Audition |

The Extraordinary Losers (Exlosers) TV show is adapted from the award-nominated book series of the same name written by Singapore author Jessica Alejandro. Heartfelt, funny and exciting, the Exlosers TV show takes an honest look at school life in Singapore, and how children deal with bullying and being different. Behind the comedy and adventure lies a message that every child is special, and that every child is extraordinary in their own way. The Exlosers TV show which will be shown on OKTO, will be written and directed by Phillip Lim (Director, Diary of Amos Lee TV Show and The Teenage Textbook Movie) and produced by B.O.S. Pictures. They are looking for talents to play Darryl, Mundi, Clandestino, Janice and other cast members. Young aspiring actors (9 – 14 years old) are invited to come by for the audition.
