Staycation in Singapore has become increasingly popular especially for families and this June school holidays, Our Parenting World team stayed at the newly launched kids-themed rooms at Village Hotel Bugis which is by Far East Hospitality Group.
The hotel is conveniently located within a short 5 minutes walk from Bugis MRT Station and is within walking distance to Bugis Junction, Bugis Village and Sim Lim Square. You can also explore the charming Arab Street area which is located next to the hotel.
Village Hotel Bugis has 393 rooms and with two carparks; a basement carpark and another carpark at level 4 served by two carpark lifts. Many children would enjoy the unique experience of taking a carpark lift as it is uncommon in Singapore.
Upon arrival, when we checked into our room, we are pleasantly surprised with the colourful, kids-themed room filled with pictures of the popular animated film, Cars!
The kids are so excited and delighted to see the room, it has unique kids-friendly interior with special kids amenities, it can accommodate 2 adults and 1 child comfortably. Read on to find out more.

The cosy and spacious 32 sqm kids-themed room is tastefully decorated and includes free wifi, in-room safe, coffee/tea making facilities, iron and ironing board.
The cosy bathroom comes with a bathtub, bath sink and toiletries for both adults and kids with lots of soft towels of various sizes.

We are so happy to have our grandparents joined us for a relaxing and wonderful bonding time at the hotel over the weekend.
This comfortable pull out sofa bed can be easily converted into an extra bed for your family member and or kid.
Enjoying a hearty breakfast at The Landmark restaurant
The hotel stay comes with complimentary buffet breakfast for 2 adults and 1 child.
There are two well-known restaurants available for the guests, the award-winning Mooi Chin Place which is one of the oldest Hainanese restaurant in Singapore located at level 3 next to the hotel lobby and The Landmark restaurant at level 5 serves a mixture of Western, Asian, Indian and Mediterranean influence meals with a poolside dining experience. If you prefer to dine in the comfort of your room, you can also order room service from both restaurants.
Visitors can relax, soak and swim at Village Hotel Bugis’s outdoor pool and enjoy its its panoramic views.
The hotel is equipped with the latest treadmills, weights, and cycles at its gym.
We love our grandparents very much and the best part of the staycation is that our grandparents are with us! They enjoyed the comfortable hotel room, get to explore around Kampong Glam within walking distance from the hotel and dine at their favourite Chinese Hainanese restaurant at Mooi Chin Place located inside the hotel. Village Hotel Bugis is a good place for a 3-tier family staycation! It is a wonderful and memorable way for the whole family to spend the weekend together in a cosy hotel!
Overall for families who are interested for a weekend or holiday staycation in Singapore but would like to stay away from the usual tourist hotels in Sentosa or along Orchard Road, Village Hotel Bugis is definitely a good alternative.
