Singapore’s inaugural 2024 Kweichow Moutai Cup Singapore Lion Dance Championship (2024 年 ‘贵州茅台杯’新加坡舞狮争霸赛) will be held at RWS’ Lake of Dreams (梦之湖) on 17 August 2024, Saturday, from 3pm. This spectacular event promises to be a cultural extravaganza, showcasing the rich traditions of Chinese lion dance and Moutai’s rich heritage as well as fostering a sense of cultural appreciation. Witness breathtaking auspicious lion dance performances by talented award-winning troupes such as Kuan Feng Arts Centre (关峰龙狮研究院), Times Cultural Arts (时代 文化艺术坊), SLT Association (新加坡顺利坛体育会), Nam Sieng Dragon & Lion Dance Activity Centre (新加坡南仙龙狮体育会), and more as they vie for the coveted championship as well as usher in Singapore’s 59th birthday. These masters of traditional form are set to enthrall crowds as they leap from pole to pole with their graceful acrobatic lion dance moves.
In addition, bringing the vibrant heritage of Chinese culture to life, guests are invited to visit the Moutai-themed exhibition booth at Lake of Dreams featuring Moutai liquor with informative guides on Moutai’s history, craftsmanship, and cultural significance. Guests can even discover Moutai cocktails and ice cream with various cuisines at Soi Social, CHIFA! and Osia Steak and Seafood Grill (澳西亚牛扒海鲜烧烤餐厅) on 16 and 17 August 2024, and learn more on how to enjoy this exquisite liquor from one of China’s most prestigious brands.
