Singapore-based start-up, A Lil’ Love, a homeware brand of unique designs made with eco-friendly materials, has launched its first product: My Story Plate.
A food exploratory plate for little ones, My Story Plate was designed to create a positive dining experience for young children from 6-months-old to 6-years-old, who are discovering food, to nurture their love for eating. Its design encourages self-feeding and guides them to eat continuously to finish a meal in a timely manner.
Unique Five-Pod Feature:
– With the five numbered pods, young children can learn about numbers and easily take to the method of eating from Pod 1 to Pod 5, to finish a meal successfully.
– Food can be portioned into smaller, more achievable (less daunting!) amounts to encourage eating, and to separate food types. It is perfect for introducing new types of food to little ones.
– The rounded pods make it easy for young children to manage a spoon to self-feed (or explore with their hands to feel the varied textures of different food types), empowering them to eat independently.

As a food introductory plate that can hold various food types separately, My Story Plate is perfect as baby’s first weaning plate. Fussy eaters will find eating less daunting with food portioned into smaller, more achievable amounts; while slow eaters are encouraged to eat continuously by eating from one numbered pod to another in ascending order, with the goal of making it to Pod 5. About My Story Plate
My Story Plate was designed to create a positive dining experience for young children, to nurture their love for food. It all started when first-time mom, Rachel, became increasingly frustrated with trying to encourage her daughter, Oia Victoria, to finish her meals. Rachel then realised that when she counted down on the number of spoonful of food left to go, it motivated her daughter to eat. Rachel thought that perhaps a plate with numbered ‘pods’, which portioned out food into smaller, less intimidating amounts would help. This led to the design of My Story Plate, featuring five ascending numbered pods to portion food and encourage young children to eat continuously by starting with Pod 1 and moving on consecutively towards Pod 5.
With My Story Plate, Rachel’s mission is to empower young children with the confidence for self-feeding, and to make mealtime enjoyable for the whole family.
