Monster Curry is one of the pioneer Japanese curry specialty restaurants in Singapore has launched an exclusive new menu and range of merchandise celebrating the lovable manga and anime icon Doraemon in conjunction with the opening of Doraemon the Movie: Nobita’s Chronicle of the Moon Exploration on 25 July 2019.
Monster Curry is well-known for its house-made Japanese curry created with its proprietary blend of 14 vegetables and spices. The popular restaurant chain has grown to 13 outlets with locations such as Nex, Vivocity, Novena Square and 100AM. Its latest outlet at Tampines One has recently reopened on 4 July 2019 after revamping.
Our kids being Doraemon fans are excited to know that Monster Curry has launched new menu and merchandise featuring Doraemon.

Doraemon fans can get your hands on merchandise such as T-shirts priced at $25 nett that are available in three exclusive designs, depicting Doraemon alongside other characters from the same series, soft toys from $12.80 nett in various sizes and a limited edition tumbler priced at $11.80 nett. Diners can also top up $9.80 with the order of any drink to obtain the exclusive Doraemon Tumbler. Sale of merchandise is available for dine-in customers only.
The Special Combo Curry – $28.80
Now comes the exciting part, the exclusive Doraemon menu! Monstey Curry is famous for its generous servings of curry in massive plates measuring up to 41-cm in diameter and has transformed its signature dish to showcase this special campaign. The Special Combo Curry is good for two to share and features its most popular toppings consisting of Pork Katsu, Fried Fish, Jumbo Fried Ebi (Shrimps), Tori Karaage (Japanese-style fried chicken) and Takoyaki (Japanese octopus balls). This dish is then finished off with Monster Curry’s signature demiglace curry and garnished with traditional Japanese pickled radish.
Special Single Curry – $15.80
This is a one-person serving that is topped with a mouth-watering assortment of deep-fried goodies such as Pork Katsu, Jumbo Fried Ebi, Tori Karaage and Takoyaki, served on a massive 34-cm curry plate.
Monster Curry’s signature Japanese demi-glace curry with its smooth and fragrant brown sauce serves as a base for its star dishes is made with 14 different vegetables and spices, including aromatics like onions, mushroom and coffee powder that have been cooked for two days. Chilli lovers can opt for Monster Curry’s secret blend of chilli sauce made with ingredients such as fresh chillies and olive oil. There are six spice levels to choose from level zero (non-spicy) to level five (monster hot). The chilli sauce is added to each dish with the corresponding level number, in the shape of endearing ‘hearts’. Must try for diners who love spicy food.
Besides the new mains, fans can look forward to indulge in Hokkaido Organic Potato Wedges at $11.80 that are served with a unique house-made curry mayonnaise. You can also bring home an eye-catching Doraemon container with the purchase of this dish.
In addition, quench your thirst with The Blue Calpis Soda ($5.80, with Doraemon coaster) featuring the popular Japanese yoghurt drink mixed with a blue soda and the sunny-yellow Okinawa Shiquasa Soda ($5.80, with Doraemon coaster) that is a fruity thirst-quencher, made with vitamin C-rich Shiquasa lime, mango juice and soda, Shiquasa lime is specially grown in Okinawa, Japan which is an excellent source of antioxidant citric acid.
Both drinks are served with an exclusive Doraemon coaster (four designs available).
Monster Curry also offers Curry Ramen prepared with its signature demi-glace curry, as well as Japanese inspired pasta and salad. Highlights include Chashu Curry Ramen with pork chashu (braised pork slices), Seafood Fantasy pasta with prawns, scallops and crabsticks in a tomato cream sauce, Prawny Shrooms pasta with prawns, mushrooms and seaweed in mentaiko (cod roe) cream sauce, and Big Fried Fish Salad.
