McDonald’s® Singapore launches an all-new exclusive 12-book series as part of the Happy Meal® Readers Programme throughout the year. The series, Treetop Twins Wilderness Adventures written exclusively for McDonald’s® by globally renowned author and illustrator, Cressida Cowell, features the world of endangered and extinct animals.
The Happy Meal Readers programme is part of McDonald’s® long-term commitment to provide meaningful, feel-good family experiences by promoting reading amongst young children, and as an activity for family bonding. To bring the books to life, there will also be storytelling sessions* in selected restaurants over the weekends.
* Update on 4 February 2020: In light of the recent Novel Coronavirus outbreak, all in-store storytelling sessions will be postponed indefinitely for the safety and well-being of customers and employees. McDonald’s® will continue to monitor the situation closely and will share updates when ready to resume the sessions. Please refer to McDonald’s®’s website for its official update at https://www.mcdonalds.com.sg/campaigns/happy-meal/
All these coupled with a warm touch of hospitality with ongoing table service and in-store family activities led by McDonald’s® Guest Experience Leaders and Family Ambassadors to complete the family experience at McDonald’s®.
Since the debut launch of the Happy Meal® Readers Programme in March last year, McDonald’s® Singapore has distributed more than half a million books, encouraging families to bond through reading.
Linda Ming, Director, Brand Communications and Customer Care, McDonald’s® Singapore shared that “We’re delighted to connect with families through our Happy Meal Readers programme, and are thrilled to see ardent fans in parents and their children for the exclusive book series by Cressida Cowell. Our bigger purpose is to promote the joy of reading and we truly hope everyone will enjoy the new book series and learn something valuable about the animal world.”
