The highly anticipated Iris van Herpen: Sculpting the Senses has arrived in Singapore, making its Asian debut at the ArtScience Museum. Running from March 15 to August 10, 2025, this major retrospective showcases over 140 of van Herpen’s most iconic works, marking her first solo exhibition in Asia.

Her sculptural creations incorporate techniques such as 3D printing, algorithmic design, and laser cutting, transforming garments into fluid, organic structures that mirror the complexity of nature.
Van van Herpen’s designs have been worn by Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Björk, Scarlett Johansson, Fan Bingbing, and Naomi Campbell, among other high-profile figures. An Immersive Journey Through Van Herpen’s World
The exhibition is organised into nine thematic sections, guiding visitors through a multisensory journey that stretches from the ocean’s depths to the vastness of outer space. Each section reflects van Herpen’s interdisciplinary approach, merging fashion with art, science, and technology.

Beyond showcasing garments and accessories, Sculpting the Senses places van Herpen’s works in dialogue with a curated selection of artifacts, including ancient fossils, skeletons, contemporary artworks, and natural history specimens such as corals. A Regional Perspective and Collaborative Spirit
For its Singapore edition, the exhibition features regional perspectives, incorporating artifacts from the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum alongside contemporary works from Southeast Asian artists. Additionally, Sculpting the Senses highlights van Herpen’s collaborations with architects, scientists, and artists, emphasizing how her designs exist at the intersection of multiple disciplines.
