In recent years, Mookata, the traditional Thai barbeque steamboat has been gaining popularity in Singapore! Our team had the opportunity to try out the popular chain of Thai BBQ restaurant, Mookata @ ORTO located at 81 Lorong Chencharu.

To enjoy Mookata, this traditional Thai BBQ steamboat, you would need to first spread the pork lard provided to grease the metal skillet at the top of the dome shaped pot, to grill your meat and seafood.
Mookata @ ORTO uses charcoal-heated mookata stove which will add an aromatic smoky flavour to your dishes.
Pour the light soup on the side surrounding the metal skillet, the soup will then absorb the meat juices that will be flowing down from the metal skillet. This will result in a rich and flavourful soup for you to boil your vegetables, tofu and meat. To enhance the taste of your meal, Mookata has specially prepared for its buffet customers a blendable range of condiment which consists of fabulously sweet, garlicky and spicy sauces for you to dip your food with. You can mix and match the condiment to come up with your own custom blend of sauces.
You can wash down your food with refreshing cool Thai beer or with its signature Thai ice tea, coconut juice, lemongrass drink and many more.

Mookata in celebration of Mother’s Day, diners can enjoy a Boston Lobster at only $10++ with every purchase of Mookata Set Meal for 4. This promotion is available for the whole month of May 2016 and only at Mookata Katong, Mookata Bugis Junction and Mookata ORTO.
