Renowned Japanese architect Yasuhiro Koichi of Design Studio SPIN has reimagined Basilico’s interiors, inspired by classic Italian piazzas and markets. The central area features three open kitchens—antipasti, hot kitchen, and pasticceria (dessert)—and a raw bar with fresh seafood, Mediterranean-style prawns, and burrata. The restaurant also offers alfresco-style dining on the terrace overlooking the pool, capturing the essence of Italian culture. Cheese Room: The Cheese Room at Basilico is a haven for cheese lovers. With over 50 varieties of artisanal cheeses, including unique in-house infused specials, it’s a must-visit for anyone who appreciates fine cheese. The Gorgonzola with pistachio and caramel and Burrata with fresh pesto were standout favorites, offering innovative flavour combinations that delighted our taste buds.
Artisanal Pastas and Live Grill Station: The live pasta bar and grill station added a dynamic and interactive element to our dining experience. The Beef Cheeks Ravioli was a standout dish, with its rich, savoury filling complemented by the nutty flavour of 24 Month Aged Parmigiano Reggiano. The grill station offered perfectly cooked tender sirloin cuts that were bursting with flavour.
Pizza and Dessert Bars: The Romana-style pizzas were a treat, with their light and airy dough topped with premium ingredients. The dessert bar offered a delightful end to our meal, with a variety of classic Italian desserts and innovative sweet creations, including decadent house-made gelato.
