{Media Invite and Doughworkz by PastaMania Event}
PastaMania, Singapore’s well-known restaurant for its great tasting Italian food has introduced Doughworkz by PastaMania, a fun-filled and engaging culinary programme for both children and parents to bond and have fun learning cooking together.
Our Parenting World team attended the preview workshop by PastaMania located at Singapore Management University. The boys are so excited once they put on their own chef’s hats and aprons. They can’t wait to start making their own pizza!
The workshop is open to children aged 4 to 12 years old together with their parents to obtain hands-on experience in making their own pasta or pizza and at the same time, they will enjoy uninterrupted fun and foster closer bonding during the whole process of learning and cooking.
The session started with an interesting short educational briefing on the history of pizza and pasta. This is followed by a hands-on session on how to make a 7 inch pizza. Making pizza is quite easy with the guidance of the helpful instructors along the way. The steps are easy to follow and the children enjoyed the experience very much. The children are also taught how to make an apple dessert pizza.
Throughout the whole process, children get to learn more about the food industry, enhance their knowledge on the kitchen equipment and how to use various equipment safely. They are able to utilize their motor skills by kneading the dough, seasoning the dish, cooking and once completed, they get to eat their own food.
Doughworkz by PastaMania, each session is 2 hours, at the end of it, all participants get to receive a certificate with a photograph as a meaningful keepsake. Each class can accommodate between 20 to 40 participants. Doughworkz classes are conveniently located at four PastaMania outlets (NEX, Sengkang Sports & Recreation Centre, Singapore Management University & Jurong East Swimming Complex) around Singapore.
Individual classes are priced at $28 per participant per class while a child-parent engagement class is $55 for one adult and one child. Birthday parties or other private events are priced at $500 and above. Customized programmes are also available. Do check with PastaMania.
