Disney’s Frozen musical has been a global sensation since its original debut, and its Southeast Asian premiere in Singapore is the only stop in South East Asia, now showing at Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands till 19 March 2023!
Disney’s Frozen The Hit Broadway Musical is produced by Disney Theatrical Productions and presented by Base Entertainment Asia. The production was a triumph, captivating audiences with its heartwarming story, incredible stage design, and dynamic performances. From the moment the curtain rose, the audience was transported to the magical kingdom of Arendelle, where Princess Elsa and her sister Anna embark on a journey of self-discovery and sisterly love.
The musical features an incredible international cast led by Jemma Rix who stars as Elsa, Sarah O’Connor as Anna, Matt Lee as Olaf, Thomas McGuane as Hans, Brendan Xavier as Kristoff, Doron Chester as Weselton and sharing the role of Sven are Yvan Karlsson and Evan Strand.
The stage design was truly breathtaking, with intricate sets and stunning costumes that brought the world of Frozen to life. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the design, from the ice palace to the castle walls. The special effects, such as snowflakes falling from the ceiling and ice appearing on stage, added a touch of magic to the performance and transported the audience to the kingdom of Frozen. The use of lighting and projections was also noteworthy, enhancing the visual impact of the performance and adding to the immersive experience.
The cast of the musical was exceptional, with standout performances from the lead actors playing Elsa and Anna. Their powerful voices and emotional deliveries brought the sisters’ journey to life, and their performances were a highlight of the production. The supporting actors and ensemble also shone, particularly in the dance numbers, which were expertly choreographed and brought a high-energy vibe to the stage. The musical did an excellent job of capturing these themes, adding depth and nuance to the story and bringing the characters to life in new and exciting ways. The production also included several new scenes and plot points that added to the overall experience and made the musical a unique and enjoyable experience for both fans of the film and newcomers to the Frozen franchise.

The lead actors playing Elsa and Anna were the stars of the show, delivering powerful and emotional performances that captivated the audience. Their voices were simply stunning, particularly during their solo numbers, and they brought a sense of realism and depth to their characters. Their performances were a testament to the power of the human voice, and they elevated the production to new heights. The supporting cast was also excellent, with standout performances from the actors playing Olaf, Kristoff, and Hans. Their comic timing and energy brought a lighthearted touch to the production, and they were a joy to watch.
The musical numbers were a true highlight of the production, with catchy tunes and expertly choreographed dance routines that brought to life the magical kingdom of Arendelle. Overall, this musical is a must see and we highly recommend it to everyone!

Frozen Light-Up at Marina Bay Sands
Using lasers and lights, the underbelly of the iconic Sands SkyPark will see a stunning projection of snowflakes, and The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands will be lit up in a dazzling shade of blue. The light-up will take place from 5 February to 11 February 2023, from 7.30pm to 11pm.
Frozen the Musical Pop-up
Visit the Frozen Experiential Pop-Up – located at the Event Plaza along The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands – to purchase exclusive merchandise and enjoy exclusive photo opportunities. On selected days, watch Singapore’s very own musicians perform live renditions of the musical soundtrack. Singapore Press Holdings’ KISS 92 DJs will also be coming down on selected days to host their radio programmes live from the Experiential Pop-up booth at the Event Plaza.
