Inspired by Surrey Hills Grocer’s founder, Gek’s experiences in Australia, particularly her time spent near the rainforest of the Dandenong Ranges in Victoria, the new outlet spans 5,600 square feet and immerses patrons in the spirit of the Australian rainforest, featuring customised animatronic kangaroos, giraffes, koalas, and birds that transform the whole space into a delightful nature-inspired sanctuary.
Upon entering, guests are welcomed by a charming wooden swing centrepiece and a life-sized animal display, setting the stage for memorable photo opportunities. Inside, the 130-seat venue showcases wood-accent furnishings, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere reminiscent of towering trees in a forest. A grand communal table encourages shared experiences, while intimate round booth seats offer cosy privacy. An open kitchen further enhances the experience, allowing diners to glimpse the culinary artistry in action as they savour their meals.
