Dubbed as one of the most prestigious music festivals in the industry, the biennial Ding Yi Chinese Chamber Music Festival is back to introduce more distinct varieties of Chinese chamber music to audiences in Singapore.
“Putting Singapore Chinese chamber music on the world map. Unite champions of Chinese chamber music in flourishing this unique genre.”, are the words by Ding Yi Principal Conductor and Festival Director Quek Ling Kiong (郭勇德) for the fourth installation of the Ding Yi Chinese Chamber Music Festival 2019 (CCMF 2019, 鼎艺华乐室内乐节 2019).
In collaboration with Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, CCMF 2019 will be happening from 13 to 15 Sep 2019 (Fri to Sun), the festival showcases an exciting Chinese music weekend of free talks and ticketed concerts, with stirring performances from our Ding Yi homegrown musicians, as well as three distinct international Chinese chamber ensembles from Canada, China and Taiwan, indulging local music lovers with a wide contrasting presentation and style of Chinese chamber music. The festival also specially commission local budding composers, winners from 2018 Chinese chamber music composition competition, Composium to write the combine pieces for the three concerts.
