Dick Lee Asia proudly presents The Mad Chinaman 30th Anniversary concert, featuring Dick Lee, the Braddell Heights Symphony Orchestra and choir group The Joy Chorale. This concert will be held for one night only on 15th September 2019 at 7.30pm at the Esplanade Concert Hall.
Under the baton of Music Director Adrian Tan, this special pop-classical crossover celebrates the 1989 release of Dick’s seminal work, The Mad Chinaman – an album that has often been regarded as a musical portrait of Dick, in his quest to discover his own cultural identity and what it means to be Singaporean. Thirty years on, this journey of exploration remains as relevant and impactful as it did then.
Joined by special guests, Jacintha Abisheganaden and Denise Tan – and gloriously accompanied by a the Braddell Heights Symphony Orchestra and choir group The Joy Chorale – Dick takes fans on a musical journey down memory lane, and promises a uniquely Singaporean treat for all!
