Casio, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of consumer electronics products and business equipment solutions launches a new state-of-the-art series of digital Grand Hybrid Pianos designed in collaboration with renowned piano manufacturer, C. Bechstien.
At the launch event, media and music teachers were invited to try out and to have a first hand feel of its latest range of digital pianos and at the same time, Casio in celebration of its 35th Anniversary reveals its CELVIANO Grand Hybrid Piano at The Luxe Museum.
Music prodigy Abigail Sin performed stunning pieces on the CELVIANO Grand Hybrid Piano. The rich and melodic sounds coming from the piano is a collaboration with renowned piano manufacturer, C. Bechstien, one of the world’s leading piano manufacturers. It also includes Casio’s proprietary Acoustic and intelligent Resonator (AiR) Sound Source technology.
Johnny Chan impressed the audience with his performances of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” on the CELVIANO Grand Hybrid Piano.
The audiences were mesmerized by the performances of the two outstanding pianists on the Grand Hybrid Piano.

Casio uses original Multi-dimensional Morphing AiR Grand Sound Source technology to produce the complex and multi-faceted sound of three distinguished grand pianos, Berlin Grand, known for its elegant, clear sound that promises a rich and melodic performance, the Hamburg Grand, known for delivering power and strength with crisp and distinct string resonance, and the Vienna Grand, famous for its calm and stately sound with a rich bass and beautiful tone. Its natural grand hammer action keyboard is made of Spruce wood that produces horizontal key hammer movements, which is the same to that of a concert grand piano. Pianists will be able to enjoy enhanced playing experiences with the Grand Hybrid Pianos.
In addition, useful features such as position setting function allows pianists to choose the different modes to hear how the music will sound from the audience from different parts of the concert hall and it has a pre-recorded live concert sounds installed in a high-quality digital format which enables pianists to practice their tunes along with an orchestra.

The new line-up includes the CELVIANO GP-300BK and CELVIANO GP-500BO which employs Casio’s proprietary Acoustic and intelligent Resonator (AiR) Sound Source technology and grand piano sound sampling to deliver matchless realism, tonal and sound detail of an acoustic grand piano.
The Grand Hybrid Piano GP-300BK will be available at Casio Authorized Retailers at a suggested retail price of SGD$4,799, while the GP-500BP will be available at a suggested retail price of SGD$6,999 from November 2015.
Key features of the CELVIANO Grand Hybrid pianos include:
- AiR Grand Sound Source and Grand Acoustic System for distinct three-dimensional sound and brilliant tone of a grand piano
- Natural Grand Hammer Action Keyboard made of Spruce wood for authenticity in key action and responsiveness of a grand piano
- Hall Simulator for pianists to enjoy the immersive iconic venues such as a concert hall in Berlin, a church in Amsterdam or a concert venue in Vienna
- Concert Playto practice tunes along with a full orchestra
- Scene feature (exclusively in the CELVIANO GP-500BP) consisting of 15 pre-set modes suiting different sound environments
In addition, Casio will be releasing the CELVIANO AP-700BK, at a suggested retail price of SGD$3,299 equipped with the AiR Grand Sound Source technology from 30 September 2015.
