Daddy says:
The best Roti prata (or roti canai as called in Malaysia) is at KL Raju’s restaurant at Jalan Gasing, in Petaling Jaya. This is the best in the whole Malaysia, according to some reviewers. It is fluffy, a bit crispy, served on the authentic banana leaf and you seat outdoors facing a school field. It is very popular on weekdays and weekends.
The price of a roti canai is RM 1.50 for a plain one. Its a bit costly for Malaysia’s standard but very nice.
Their address is : 27, Jln Chantek 5/13 off Jalan Gasing Petaling Jaya, 46000, Malaysia.
If you are driving from KL city, take the Federal Highway (probably the only highway in KL which you do not need to pay toll), after you pass Midvalley Mall, look for “Jalan Gasing” exit. Keep to the left after the exit and you can see Jalan Chantek 5/13 about 1 km after you exit.
The shop is so confident of their food that they put up this notice at the cashier |
