Running till 30 April 2025, this exquisite afternoon tea experience at the Lobby Lounge celebrates the natural beauty and sweetness of in-season Japanese strawberries, showcasing pastry innovation and creativity through a newly curated selection of sweet and savoury creations.
With their delicate blush hues and unparalleled sweetness, these premium Japanese strawberries take centre stage in a carefully curated menu that highlights their versatility and charm. Guests can indulge in highlights such as strawberries dipped in Valrhona chocolate, a decadent treat that pairs the luscious berries with rich, velvety chocolate, and the timeless Classic Strawberry Shortcake, a delicate confection of light sponge, fresh fruit, and Hokkaido whipped cream. The Earl Grey Strawberry Mousse, featuring tea steeped for 48 hours and paired with wild strawberry compote and hazelnut sponge, adds a refined touch, while the Fromage Blanc Strawberry Cheesecake offers a creamy twist on a beloved dessert. The menu is rounded out by the Almond Strawberry Tart, with layers of almond cream, strawberry marmalade, and vanilla ganache.
The savoury selection introduces imaginative pairings, incorporating strawberries into sophisticated dishes. The Strawberry Glazed Foie Gras combines foie gras praline with sable and smoked chocolate ganache for a rich, multi-layered bite. Guests can also savour Flamed Diver Scallops, accented with tara, pani puri, and marinated roe, or enjoy Iberico Croquettes, served with pickled strawberries and truffle mayonnaise. For a classic touch, finger sandwiches are filled with cucumber and burnt carrot cream, or Parisian ham with Comté and green asparagus.
Warm, freshly baked scones — featuring strawberry and raisin variations — accompany the meal, served with homemade wild strawberry jam and clotted cream. This indulgent spread is complemented by a free-flow selection of TWG Tea or Bacha Coffee for two hours. Guests will also be welcomed with a refreshing glass of Blushing Pink Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Wine, accented with fresh strawberries, to begin their journey.
