City Square Mall invites the public to step back in time and share old pictures of the New World Amusement Park or the iconic New World Gate – where the mall stands now!
Where City Square Mall now stands was once the New World Amusement Park, a vibrant hub of entertainment and leisure. It was home to open-air cinemas, cabarets, dance halls and carnival rides, providing fun for all ages, and drawing crowds for decades until its closure in 1987.
In tribute to its rich cultural history, City Square Mall is running this photo contest to gather memories from people of all walks of life, inviting them to share their fondest memories of the New World Amusement Park with a new generation. Photos submitted during the contest will be featured in an upcoming wall gallery at City Square Mall.
