As we ushered in the Chinese New Year at PUTIEN, our taste buds were treated to a symphony of flavours that encapsulated the essence of Fujian cuisine. The Chinese New Year menu at PUTIEN not only celebrated the festive spirit but also showcased the culinary mastery that has become synonymous with this renowned restaurant.
Our gastronomic adventure began with the Prosperity Yusheng featuring succulent abalone. The vibrant colours of the shredded vegetables complemented the rich taste of the abalone, creating an awesome start to our meal, setting the tone for an unforgettable culinary experience.
The Pot of Goodies, a stunning and delicious ensemble of abalone and prawn, followed suit, presenting a delightful blend of textures and seafood flavours that left a lasting impression on all of us.
The Stir-fried Scallop in Black Truffle Sauce elevated our dining experience to new heights. The succulent scallops were perfectly seared and bathed in a luxurious black truffle sauce, creating a dish that was both indulgent and sophisticated.
The Yellow Croaker in Sambal Sauce brought a bold and spicy kick to the table. The sambal sauce, with its aromatic spices, enhanced the natural sweetness of the yellow croaker, leaving a lingering warmth on our palates.
The Deep-fried Chicken with Garlic was a crispy revelation. The chicken, expertly fried to golden perfection, was adorned with fragrant garlic, resulting in a dish that was not only visually appealing but also incredibly flavourful.
Shredded Pork with Sesame Bun presented a delightful contrast of textures. The tender shredded pork, encased in soft sesame buns, showcased the meticulous attention to detail in PUTIEN’s culinary craftsmanship.
The Stir-fried Asparagus with Black Fungus offered a refreshing and crisp respite. The asparagus, stir-fried to perfection, retained its natural crunch, while the black fungus added a unique earthy dimension to the dish.
The Cordycep Flower with Fish Maw & Crab Meat Soup was a nourishing and comforting highlight. The soup, brimming with the goodness of cordyceps, fish maw, and crab meat, reflected PUTIEN’s commitment to crafting dishes that are both delicious and nutritious.
The Longevity Noodles symbolise an auspicious wish for a prosperous and enduring life. These perfectly cooked and flavourful noodles provided a fitting and auspicious end to the savoury portion of our Fujian culinary journey.
To sweeten the hearty feast, we indulged in delightful desserts, and the Snow Fungus & Longan Soup with Festive Red Rice Cake proved to be a sweet symphony of textures and flavours, bringing a perfect conclusion to our Chinese New Year dining experience.
