The crab is very fresh, filled with sweet chunky yellow roe that melts into our mouth. The meat is also sweet and tasty! It is advisable that you dip the crab meat with the dipping sauce as it will further enhance and bring out the natural sweetness of the meat.

This dish is very unique, it is a modern Teochew dish using fresh sea cucumber that is first braised, coated with egg and flour then pan-fried and served with abalone sauce.

Braised Sliced Irish Fat Duck (half duck) – $32 ($60 for whole duck; $18 for one portion)
We are very impressed when we learnt that the Braised Sliced Irish duck was braised for four hours in a special sauce comprising more than 10 ingredients. The very first batch of the braising sauce was prepared and brought over from Hong Kong, and continues to be used as a master stock currently!
This dish is mouthwatering, the meat is very tender and flavoursome because of the savory special sauce. Good to go with rice too.

Mashed Yam with Pumpkin (Orh Nee) – $4.50 per portion (serves one)
For desserts, one of the must-trys definitely has to be the iconic Teochew dessert, Mashed Yam with Pumpkin. Each batch will take 6 hours to prepare! The steamed yam is pounded by hand so as to achieve a light and smooth consistency before it is wok-fried in shallot oil.
The Orh Nee texture is just nice, very smooth, not too thick or heavy. It is a good way to end a perfect meal.
Crispy Pumpkin, Yam and Sweet Potato Strips – $12
Another classic Teochew dessert offered by the restaurant is Crispy Pumpkin, Yam and Sweet Potato Strips. We were told the story behind this unique dish. While travelling at Shantou, Chao Shan, Chef Cheng was so impressed by this traditional street snack that he brought a piece all the way back to Singapore. He experimented with various techniques for more than 10 days before perfecting the dish.
This dish consists of thin strips of pumpkin, yam and sweet potato that are deep-fried and after that sprinkled with peanuts and sugar to create a crunchy sweet treat. It has a combination of crunchy texture and balance with the sweet from the sugar. This dish is a great way to snack that you can’t stop eating.

The inside of the rice roll is stuffed with flavourful, chewy sticky rice and on the outside the skin is soft and fluffy.
Dim sum: Steamed Custard Bun in Piggy Shape – $5.80 (3pcs)
This Dim Sum is no doubt a show stealer and a hit with many! The boys were so delighted when they saw the Piggy shape custard buns. They simply have to try the buns.
We love the buns! Once you bite on the bun, there is an explosion of sweet custard in your mouth coupled with pine nuts. The bun skin is very soft and the Steamed Custard Bun in Piggy Shape is certainly a crowd pleaser!
