Mid-Autumn Festival is certainly one of the most important occasions widely celebrated by the Chinese. In Singapore, many families and friends would come together to celebrate Mid-Autumn with colourful and beautiful lanterns and the main highlight has to be indulging in mooncakes!
This Mid-Autumn Festival, InterContinental Singapore’s award-winning restaurant Man Fu Yuan presents a divine collection of handcrafted mooncakes by Executive Chinese Chef Kwan Yiu Kan. Making its first appearance this year, InterContinental Singapore’s Man Fu Yuan introduces the new Garden Collection at S$72nett per box.
Each box contains four garden-themed Snowskin Mooncakes in each of the following flavours:
Roselle and Red Date (洛神花红枣冰皮月饼)
Rosemary, Almond and Green Tea (迷迭香绿茶杏仁片冰皮月饼)
Pandan with White Lotus Seed and Macadamia Nuts (班兰夏果冰皮月饼)
Rose with White Lotus Seed and Pistachio (玫瑰开心果冰皮月饼)
Garden Collection is inspired by the use of botanicals and flowers in the kitchen. Chef Kwan came up with creative and bolder step by incorporating other new elements featuring Roselle and Red Date; Rosemary, Almond and Green Tea; Pandan and Macadamia and Rose and Pistachio.
Rosemary, Almond and Green Tea (迷迭香绿茶杏仁片冰皮月饼), this fragrant mooncake is infused with Rosemary and Green Tea, it is a joy to bite into this aromatic paste together with the added satisfying crunch of almonds.
Rose with White Lotus Seed and Pistachio (玫瑰开心果冰皮月饼), this new floral mooncake is wonderfully infused with rose’s flavour and gives a delightful, crunchy texture with white lotus seed and pistachio. Another unique mooncake is the Roselle and Red Date (洛神花红枣冰皮月饼) which gives a refreshing difference from the traditional lotus seed paste. The light smoky notes of Roselle are perfectly balanced by the luscious Red Date filling.
