George Town Tze Char & Craft Beer is a brand new casual, alfresco restaurant specialising in traditional Penang favourites and delectable seafood located at 81 Boat Quay recently launched on 17 September 2020.
The restaurant is helmed by award-winning Executive Chef, George Tan from Ayer Hitam in George Town, Penang. He has over 20 years of experience, achieved numerous accolades and his signature Rendang Crab has won an award at the Asia Top Heritage Food Award 2019 by International Business Federation. In addition, he has also won the Asia Top Heritage Food Chef Award 2019 by International Business Federation.

The restaurant features an extensive range of craft beers, fine wines and GIN to elevate your dining experience and for you to pair your food with.
Rojak and Chendol GIN at $12 per glass, $122 – $128 per bottle
The Rojak GIN is at $12 per glass, $122 per bottle that is distilled from fermented artisanal Thai honey, then re-distilled with juniper berries, lemon peel and torch ginger. It has a lovely rojak aroma with a beautiful blend of bright, fruity and layered botanicals. The Chendol GIN is at $12 per glass, $128 per bottle that is distilled from fermented gula Melaka, then re-distilled with juniper berries, pandan and coconut on a pot still. The gin is soft, vibrant and reminiscent of the most delicious chendol dessert.

Fresh and juicy Oysters at a promo price of $1 per oyster for its opening special with any food or drink purchased. Usual price is at 6 oysters for $18.
Penang Thai Style Squid – $15
Rendang Beef Cubes – $18
Penang Thai Style Squid and Rendang Beef Cubes are its signature creations. Fresh squid deep-fried till beautiful golden yellow, so crispy and flavourful. The caramelized beef cubes is so tender and moist, gives an intense flavour and robust aroma.
Crispy Pumpkin Prawns – $20
Prawns deep-fried till perfection, so crispy and drenched with tasty pumpkin sauce.
Signature Thai Curry Fish Head – $28
The super fresh and delightful Thai Curry Fish Head has been meticulously prepared with Thai herbs and spices including lemongrass, tamarind, lime leaves, curry leaves and bird’s eye chillies. This spicy-sour savoury gravy is so good that will make you crave for more!
Kungfu Pork Ribs – $18
Pork Ribs have been well marinated and deep-fry till golden brown. The meat is so soft, moist and mouth-watering!
XO Signature Hor Fun – $12
This dish is a winning creation that comes with a delicate balance of sweet, spicy and savoury flavours, infused with Chef Tan’s homemade XO sauce. So yummy!

Chilli Crab is Singapore’s iconic dish, the plump, succulent crab is coated with sweet, spicy and savoury sauce that is so delicious.
