Singapore has long been a hotbed for entrepreneurs with its business friendly policies, start-up funding and co-working spaces. Forbes magazine, in an article in Jan 2016, declared that 2016 would be the year for women entrepreneurs. “Economists and academics agree women entrepreneurs are an under-tapped force that can rekindle economic expansion”. What’s good for women is even better for society!
As the business environment in Singapore witnesses a tectonic shift towards digital, mobile and social media, traditional marketing techniques are no longer an entrepreneur’s best friend. As part of its initiative to help women entrepreneurs to skill up, Women in Business Asia Pageant is organising a Masterclass in Digital Marketing and Social Media Hacks for Women Entrepreneurs in Singapore, on the 18th of August.
In this one-hour session, women in business can learn how to create an optimal, business-friendly website that is focussed on lead generation. They will also learn how to integrate content (both original and curated) in their marketing strategy. A key part of marketing today is videos that tell a unique story. This session will cover the top tips for creating a great brand video as well as deploying social media to proliferate this message to their target audience.
This event, organised by Event Embassy SG- a leading organiser of bespoke events, will have Dipashree Das as the speaker. Dipashree has more than 13 years of experience in launching successful brands across SEA and helping companies achieve their marketing goals. She currently heads Regional Partnerships and Marketing for Singtel Media, based in Singapore. Dipashree is a prolific speaker, having spoken at conferences in Singapore, India and Hong Kong.
