Christmas Wonderland 2018, the highly anticipated festive event in Singapore officially opened its doors welcoming visitors at Gardens by the Bay from now till 26 December.
The annual yuletide event was graced by Guest-of-honour, Mr Chan Chun Sing, Minister for Trade and Industry for Singapore. Joined by representatives such as Ms Sarah Martin, Creative Director of Blue Sky Events, Mr Chaly Mah, Chairman of Singapore Tourism Board, Mr Niam Chang Meng, Chairman of Gardens by the Bay and Mr Felix Loh, CEO of Gardens by the Bay and Ms Loy Sheau Mei, Senior Vice Principal and students from Christmas Wonderland’s official adopted charity, Pathlight School, they officially launched the event with the light-up of Asia’s tallest luminarie Christmas tree at the entrance of Gardens by the Bay.
Look forward to participate in a variety of activities like a stunning seven-storey high luminarie mirror maze, a spectacular magic show by world-class illusionist Rob Lake as well as a brand new Garden Rhapsody – The Christmas Special light and sound show at the Supertree Grove.
Other Christmas Wonderland highlights include a bigger Santa’s Grotto which boasts a mesmerising kinetic light installation from Germany, Singapore’s largest outdoor skating rink specially flown in from Switzerland, as well as crowd-favourite Blizzard Time, which enables visitors to experience ‘snow’ in the tropics.
Unique gifts and treats are also in store at the Festive Market for all visitors to enjoy while food aficionados can head to ‘Slice of SAVOUR’ to indulge in more exciting culinary offerings. Visitors can also look forward to free choral performances and Yuletide Sessions featuring a myriad of local talents including Joanna Dong, Rani Singam and Andrew Lim and have a go at the carnival rides and games.
