Asia Arts Festival 2017

Event Listing: Asia Arts Festival 2017 – An opportunity for young performers to shine!

Our Parenting World is excited to share about Asia Arts Festival 2017. The coming Asia Arts Festival  (AAF) is all about the excitement of the performing arts.

AAF invites talents of the performing arts to be a part of this growing and highly regarded festival that has attracted participants from more than 14 countries in the region and all across the world (China, Hong Kong, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Vietnam, UK, Russia & Singapore). AAF is an open platform for all ages to validate their skills and art before an international panel of adjudicators.

This is a unique opportunity for performers to take on the regional stage in an encouraging and nurturing environment.

The 5th edition of AAF will be held at the prestigious Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music this July (28- 30 July 2017).

It is spearheaded by Asian Arts Academy, led by Mr Francis Liew (Accomplished choral director in Singapore, who also led the 1000-strong choir at the Sing50 concert on 7 Aug 2015).

The festival is produced and managed by arts & cultural organisations, The RICE Company Limited and Global Cultural Alliance. The RICE Company Ltd was the producer of the Sing50 Concert, Suntec Countdown 2016, ChildAid 2015 and more recently, ChildAid 2016.

1. It celebrates all genres of performing arts (e.g singing, dancing, ballet, choral music, hip hop, instrumental music).

2. It is a platform for performers to showcase their talents to an accomplished panel of judges and an appreciative audience from across Asia.

3. There will be no auditions or rehearsals. The festival takes pride in providing an opportunity for all to perform in an encouraging, nurturing environment where participants can socialise, learn from one another and build their confidence.

4. Trophies and certificates with indication of the category will be awarded to performers who have attained Gold, Silver or Bronze.

5. Participants also get the opportunity to interact with participants from all over Asia, leading to new and lasting friendships with international performers who share similar arts interests.
